Yes, yes. I know. It's super belated. Still, this year's Teacher's Day is one that I felt I need to write about. (Don't ask why. It just happen to be that way >.< )
SMK Sultan Ismail is where I've spent most of my time these past five years. I almost forgot about this special day due to some things I need to take care of. (Forgive me!! Huhuk.) By the way, I was very fortunate having a friend to remind me about that. I was so fueled with enthusiasm that I arrived at school before the ceremony even started. Talk about spirit. (-_-") Hahaha
Chan chan chan! (Drumroll..)
I looked to my right and there they were, with sparkling backgrounds that blinds the eyes watching, marching proudly to the Assembly Plateau. Haha. Nah. There wasn't any music at all. It was quite a bland march in my opinion. The Principal (of course) is the one leading the march. Then, formalities took place-Negaraku Song, delegations and speeches. Then all students were to be at the Grand Hall (Dewan Besar as we know it.) and briefing about the Teacher's Day is given to them.
| Aisyah.. Hehe |
(Oh. Dewan Besar, Pokok Besar. Ismailians really love things big I guess. Haha) We chit chat quite a while cause Husni and Aisyah has not met each other for ages. Hehe.
Aisyah got work to do so she left early. The teachers were playing some sports at the school field. That's when I teamed up with my seniors to kill the time. (Also because I miss them. They are like brothers and sisters to me. Hehe.) They shared money to buy a cake for the Form Six teachers and we actually had quite a hurry.
It was quite hilarious at first. But I really enjoyed my time with them. They don't excluded me just for being the only ex-form five among them. I cherish them for that. The teachers were so sporting and childlike with us that it made it clear just how close they are with each other. One part I was happy, another was kind of jealous. Hehe. =P

After we spent some time in the teacher's lounge (eating cakes and taking pictures), we joined the rest of the school at Dewan Besar. When we arrived, the Master of Ceremony (MC) were announcing the next activity- Berbalas Pantun (I don't know how to translate that in English. Huhu..).
It caught my attention as soon as I knew that the teachers who joined made up a very interesting team- The Principal himself, Co- Senior Assistant Cikgu Abdul Rahman Tahar and Ustaz Saleem. It's them versus the students. Though it would be more appropriate if the activity was done with the proper prop-tables and chairs I mean. They were standing through out the activity.

Next activity was a song presented by a male student. Small. I'm guessing he's only a Form One. I was, "Yeah, Singing. Sure." But.. When this boy pull out his trump card, I need to say less. *Fangirl scream* Hahaha. He is not just a singer. He is a great singer. Everyone-students, teachers, in fact, ourselves- were overwhelmed. Such small person with astonishing talent. (He's cute for that. ^.^) He was highly demanded that he was called upon to give a second song. Hahaha. He was up to something else for a third one though.
"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to Cikgu Zainuddin, Happy Birthday to you" (Cikgu Zainuddin was pulled to the stage, cake was brought out. He was so surprised that it shows without talking. Hahaha.) Yup. Teacher's birthday on Teacher's Day? It was heart warming to see such momento. Hehehhe..
Okay. That was all about the interesting part I guess. After that was just prize giving ceremony and so. I sit and had a simple talk with my seniors, and when it's all over, we head home.Overall the reception was simple, but the time I had was priceless. I mean, I may never get the chance to be with my seniors (all of them like this) and my teachers again in near future. Truly speaking I hate to part. With anyone. (Wait, I think all of us don't really enjoy parting with ones we care, right?) Hehe.
One way or another, it is part of life. I'll just have to make sure next time we meet, I became better than who I am today. Let's work hard together, shall we? ^.^
